Facts for Health

Facts for Health is a comprehensive resource to help identify, understand and treat a number of important medical conditions. Our hope is that if you are suffering, this site can start you on your journey to a happier, more satisfying life. If your interest is from a clinical perspective, our goal is to provide information or continuing education on the recognition, diagnosis and treatment of these conditions. Let us travel with you to a better tomorrow.

As human beings, we have an incredible capacity to learn. Unfortunately, some medical conditions force us to focus instead on the complicated task of coping. This is a difficult, often unpleasant way to live. And it may not be necessary. If you are suffering and you’re not sure why, we hope to help you understand what may be going on inside you. While nothing can replace treatment by a qualified professional, this Web site can help you begin to identify, understand and find treatment for a number of troubling illnesses. And that can set you back on the path to the happy, fulfilling life you deserve.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The services and programs of the Madison Institute of Medicine (MIM) date back more than 35 years. Over these many years, we have felt honored and privileged to be able to serve the mental health community through our information centers, medical librarians, guidebook series, continuing medical education conferences, websites, and the many other services and programs we were able to develop for patients, health care professionals, and the general public.

So it is with great sadness that we announce the closing of the Madison Institute of Medicine.
We are thankful for the opportunities we have had to serve you. It has been a pleasure.

With best wishes,

Dr. Jeff Jefferson, Dr. John Greist, Maggie Baudhuin, and Lynn Tobias
